Performance Improvement

Example of Sound Theory

Citation and Abstract:

Rummler, G. A., & Brache, A. P. (1995). Improving performance: How to manage the white space on the organization chart (2nd ed.). San Francisco: Jossey-Bass.

Improving performance bridges the gap between organization strategy and the individual, concentrating on the flow of products, paper, and information between departments rather than simply on the activities within departments. This book explains the underpinnings of a three-level performance framework and demonstrates tools through which the framework is applied, and by which the white space is managed.
